The goal is to provide a stable Quicken release for macOS 10.11 and 10.12 users who don’t want to upgrade and aren't interested in future Quicken updates. We don’t want you to take an update to a new version of Quicken that doesn’t run well or has critical issues on macOS 10.11 or 10.12. As part of the goal of streamlining our development process, we won't be testing Quicken for Mac on macOS 10.11 or 10.12 anymore. If you are running macOS 10.11 or 10.12, you will no longer be able to upgrade Quicken for Mac beyond v5.18 to get new features, stability fixes, or security improvements.Quicken for Mac v5.18 will be the last release that will continue to run on 10.11 and 10.12. You will be able to continue to run Quicken for Mac v5.18 on 10.11 and 10.12 for as long as you want. However, connected services may stop working in the future when we adopt new transaction download technology or Quicken Cloud services. To keep Quicken for Mac up-to-date and secure with the latest Mac technologies and streamline our efforts to improve your experience, we will be ending support for macOS El Capitan (10.11) and macOS Sierra (10.12) in the release after v5.18. Both of these systems are more than four years old and do not receive software improvements or security updates from Apple.
